Scott E. Doscher, father of two children, passed away unexpectedly at his home on April 8, 2021 at the age of 71.

Scott, son of late Austin and Jacqueline (Ranges) Doscher was born in Englewood, New Jersey, moving to Connecticut when he was a young child.  Scott grew up in Rockville CT, moved to Columbia when he was a teenager and graduated from Windham High School in 1968.  He also attended Mitchell College and the University of Hartford to study music. Scott was self-employed, retiring a few years ago.

Scott was a passionate and brilliant musician.  When he wasn’t jamming on his bass, he was talking about music. He taught bass and guitar for many students at Song-a-Day Music in Coventry. He was an accomplished bassist who performed in several local bands including T. S. Wisely and Holland to name just a couple.  His knowledge behind a tool was very sharp and was a handy-man who could fix anything in his path. Scott had a goofy sense of humor who enjoyed telling “Dad” jokes and he also loved vacationing in Wells Maine at his family’s cottage.

Scott is survived by his two sons, Andrew of Marlborough CT and Nicholas (Shannon) of Tolland, CT and his three grandchildren, Juliane, Raleigh and Bethany.   He also leaves his sisters Sandra (Steven) Jarzabek of Hudson Maine, Sherry (Brad) Wojick of Windham, his brother Jay of Willimantic and several nieces and nephews.
