August 15, 1956 – June 30, 2010

Scott D. “Biggie” MacDonald, 53, of Statesville and former resident of Berlin/Gorham, NH, passed into eternity on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 after a courageous battle with a lengthy illness.

He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He left behind his high school sweetheart of 35 years, Deborah (Lavoie) MacDonald of NH/NC; one son, Adam MacDonald and wife, Kami (Chick), of NC; two daughters, Autumn (MacDonald) Goulette and husband, Ryan, of NH and Amy (MacDonald) Chick and husband, Dustin, of NC; and seven grandchildren, each of whom he adored.

Scott graduated from Gorham High School in 1975. He attended IBEW electrical trade school and was a Journeyman Electrician for 20 years. He was a member of IBEW Local 490 and helped build numerous buildings including the Seabrook NH power plant and the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover, NH. He later worked as a maintenance technician in order to be closer to home and his family.

Scott was a gifted man with many talents. He was creative, imaginative, and mechanically inclined. He was also funny and could make everyone laugh. He was an exceptional artist and musician who could play music by ear and taught himself to play various instruments. He enjoyed crafting wooden furniture and made many gifts for his family and friends. He loved hot rods and classic cars and enjoyed restoring and working on them.
