Scott Allen Schmidtendorff, age 49, of Dowagiac, departed this life Friday, February 17, 2017, at his home. Scott was a loving son, brother and uncle.
Born November 20, 1967, in South Bend, Indiana to Ronald Schmidtendorff and Colleen Barrett.
He will always be remembered for his love of animals, no matter the kind. He loved his best friend, Molly, his treasured dog. His greatest hobbies were hunting and being on Diamond Lake with F. K. Kennedy. He was a friend and a helper for all who knew him. He could always be found on Sunday morning with his best friends, Tre, Don & Dave. He will always be remembered by his best friend, Doc. He attended Pleasant View Church of Christ of Cassopolis. He could often be found sitting next to his Uncle Dale & Aunt Bonnie, whom he loved very much. He will be deeply missed by his mother, brother, sister-in-law, Ernesta and special friend Laura of Marcellus and many other friends.
He is survived by his mother, Colleen Burmeister and stepfather, Eugene Copeland, both of Dowagiac, his father, Ron Schmidtendorff of Wisconsin; his brother Steven D. Schmidtendorff and sister-in-law Ernesta; and his very special nephew, Steven D. Schmidtendorff. PSALMS 16:1-11 “My body will rest secure because you will not abandon me to the grave.”
