Scarlett Dell Green, 76, a longtime resident of Santa Fe, passed away December 2, 2018.  She was born February 20, 1942 in Lake City, Florida to parents, Newton G. Green and Le Dell McKnight Green. 

Scarlett pursed her lifelong care as a Dietician with a B.S Degree in Home Economics from Berry College, a B.S Degree in Nutrition (Dietician) from Emory College and a Masters Degree in Counseling from Southwest College.  After receiving these accomplishments, she pursued her career as a Dietician and a Therapist.

Although Scarlett was not religious per say, she was very strong, wise, adventurous, kind, very generous and loved her family and friends very much.  She lived her life passionately and expected others to do the same to which she led by example and was the matriarch of her family.

She will be deeply missed and is very much loved.

 Scarlett was in Miss Berry College Pageant, part of the Tri–High –Y, a member of the Future Homemaker of America (FHA) and voted the Best Looking in high school.

She is preceded in death by her son, Michael W. Griggs; father, Newton G. Green; sister-in-law, Blanche Green; and mother, Le Dell McKnight Green.

Scarlett is survived by her loving daughter, Maya McKnight; siblings, Sharon Rowland and Wayne Green; Grandchildren, Amanda Griggs Fleming, Robert Gonzales, Bailey Griggs, Maddie Griggs Le Roux, Eli Griggs Le Roux; great-grandson, Jasper Riley Gonzales; her cat, Jiro, and many more family members.
