Sarita “Sunshine” Swift, 47, of Clearwater Florida, passed away Wednesday January 12th, 2022, at Suncoast Hospice in Largo Florida. She was born May 6th, 1974 in Chicago, Illinois to her parents Alfredo and Sara Magallanes. She worked as a Crew Chief, Cook, and Supervisor for Purdue University in West Lafayette for over 13 years. She married her soulmate, Todd Swift on December 10th, 2016. In 2021 she co-founded Agile Currensea., a non-profit dedicated to keeping Tampa Bay Beaches and Waterways free of marine debris and plastic.

Sarita was a 1993 graduate of Bowen High School. She took collegiate courses at Ivy Tech and Southern New Hampshire University online. Sarita was a diehard Cubs fan and loved all baseball and any and all sports. She attended her first Indianapolis 500 in 2016 and was hooked on racing, attending other IndyCar events and the 12 hours of Sebring sports car race. Sarita moved to Clearwater Florida in 2019 and loved the cubs (and any and all baseball), boating, beaches, sunshine, and dolphins. Her passion was spending time with family, sports, travel and cooking.

Sarita is survived by her loving husband of 5 years, Todd Swift of Clearwater; one daughter, Bianca Minjares; one son Jordan (Davyd) Minjares; her sister Estela Vigus, nephew Jaxon Vigus, niece Emma Vigus; her sister Lizette Esquivel and brother-in-law Alejandro Esquivel, nephew Lionel Esquivel, niece Eliana Esquivel; her brother Juvenal Magallanes; her parents: Alfredo and Sara Magallanes; her mother-in-law Sandra Swift, two sons-in-law Carter and Collin Swift, brother-in-law Brandon and his wife Katie Swift, two god daughters Ashley Bojorquez, Chloe Ceja, and her furball puppy, Gigi.

Sarita was a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin, niece, and friend.
