Sarah Elizabeth (Courtney) Cox, 38, of Westerville, formerly of Lima, passed away on June 14, 2023, at 4:45pm, at Mount Carmel Hospital Columbus. She was born on January 8, 1985, the daughter of James and Michele (Beery) Courtney, both survive in Lima. On October 10, 2020, she married Timothy Lucas (Luke) Cox, and he survives in Westerville.
Sarah was a RN and a case manager for Aetna. She was a kind, caring person, who lit up the room when she walked in. She had a great sense of humor and loved her family and friends. She had a caring lifestyle, with her career and her family, and it showed. Throughout her trials in life, she bore them with grace and dignity, and a touch of humor. She touched many lives in her lifetime, Sarah will be missed tremendously.
In addition to Luke and her parents, she leaves behind her daughter; Isabelle “Izzy” Gerdeman, of Westerville: Father in-law and step-mother in-law, Steve and Sherri Cox, of Columbus GA, and Mother in-law and step-father in-law Jackie and Ronnie Cox, her maternal grandmother: Lenora Beery. Her Aunts and Uncles include; Dan Courtney of Lima, Deb and Lee Ballard of MI., Daryl and Greg Ballard of Missouri. Lisa and Mike Hoehn of Lima, Cousins; Megan and Brian Scheid of Lima, Jason and Heather Hoehn of Lima and Adam Hoehn of Lima. Her nephew; Ashton Helterbran and niece; Kaylie Helterbran. She was preceded in death by her Grandparents; Doneta and Don Ballard, and Gene Beery, and two uncles; Dave Courtney and Jeff Ballard.
