Those left to honor Sarah’s memory include her son, Rickey Smith of Newton; two daughters, Patty Harper of Newton and Nancy Eilander of Kellogg; her two grandchildren, Misty (Darin) Van Sickle of Newton and Rickey Eilander of Kellogg; five great-grandchildren: Dylan Van Sickle, Ashley Van Sickle, Josh Eilander, Amanda Eilander, and Kendall Stevenson; her niece, Rhonda Van Brogen of Reasnor; and several other nieces and nephews.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Everette and Flossie (Fridley) Davis; and two sisters, D. Ione Eggermont and Opal V. Swisher.
Sarah was born in Otter Creek, Iowa. She grew up in and attended schools at Melcher-Dallas. Sarah worked as a nurse’s aide at Nelson Manor and the Jasper County Care Facility.
