Mrs. Sarah A. Davis, age 85, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Abraham T. Davis, Sr., passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2009 in the Golden Hill Health Care Center, Milford.
Daughter of the late Wallace and Isabella Simmons Alexander, she was born on July 14, 1923 in Mecklenburg County, VA and was a longtime resident of Stamford before moving to Milford.
Survivors include her children, Abraham T. Davis, Jr. of Bridgeport, Frederick P. Davis of Maplewood, NJ, Bobbie L. Davis of Irvington, NJ, Lawrence R. Davis of Stamford, Wayne O. Davis of Norwalk, Nancy Davis of Newark, NJ, and Betsy Davis-Pereira of Seymour, twenty-six grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren. She also leaves a sister, Rebecca Winckler of Brooklyn, NY. She was predeceased by a daughter, Yvonne Davis Roberts.
