Sara B. (Turner) Kellermeyer, 97, of Pendleton, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Rawlins House, Pendleton.

She was born November 12, 1915 in Fortville to the late Alson C. and Mary (Cass) Turner and graduated from Eden High School. Sara then graduated from Indiana Central Teachers College in 1936 and taught the fifth grade for 20 years for Mt. Vernon School Corporation, retiring in 1979. She was a member of Eden United Methodist Church; Sugar Grove United Methodist Church; Eden Chapter of O.E.S. for over 50 years; and the Red Hat Society.

Sara was also a member of Ambassadair and loved traveling, as well as playing cards. She is survived by her daughter Candy (Mike) Hyde of Pendleton; grandsons: Shawn (Angela), Nathan (fianceé Kelly Gresley), and Cody; great-granddaughters Kylie and Brooklyn; sister-in-law Jessie Scott; nephews Max, Charlie and Bobby; and niece Mary Iva Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry “Bud” Kellermeyer; brother Alson “Bud” Turner; sister Cora Worland; and niece Jeanie Purdunn.
