Sanilia Trofort, age 80, of Trumbull, beloved wife of 62 years of Francis Trofort, passed away unexpectedly from a stroke on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. Born September 27, 1941 in Léogâne, Haiti, the daughter of the late Grison and Saint Elia (Jean-Louis) Saint-Louis, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend and a woman of faith. When she was a little girl, her grandmother used to run a restaurant in their home. They would wake up every morning at 6 am to prepare food to sell. She would watch her grandma cook in the kitchen and even sometimes helped. Sanilia later became known for her cooking.
