Sandra Marie Allard, 77, passed away surrounded by her loving family on December 1, 2019. She was born August 23, 1942 in Ionia, Michigan to the late Ferdinand Peter and Dorothy Magdalene (Selbach) Rochon.
Sandy graduated from St. Simon Catholic School in Ludington in 1960. A year later, she married the love of her life, Paul Allard, and together, they raised three children. Sandy was proudest to be a mother and grandmother but equally as proud to be an aunt, sister, and friend to all.
Sandy was a devout Catholic and opened her home and heart to everyone around her and cherished all of her friendships. She gave her time and talents to many charitable causes as well as supported many friends and relatives through their hardships. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh, generosity, and her ability to turn a unique phrase. It is fitting that she passed during the holiday season, as Christmas was her favorite holiday.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Glenn “Bud” Rochon and Joseph Rochon.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Paul Allard; children, Edward (Lori) Allard, Timothy (Kim Irish) Allard, Paulette (Belinda Smith) Allard; grandchildren, Natasha (David) North, Gabrielle Allard, Tyler Allard, Tara Allard, and Colleen Allard-Smith; great-granddaughter Ellana North; brother, Edward Rochon; and sister, Dorothy Ann Urka.
