Sandy died on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. She was born on September 2, 1936 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Ernest and Margene (Lowis) Smith. On April 27, 1957, Sandy was married to James P. Schultz. She was employed by The Upjohn Co. at Brooke Lodge for 18 years until her retirement. Sandy was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Battle Creek and Corinthian Chapter #123, Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Jim Schultz; their three children, Jamie Schultz (Keith Beveridge) of Edina, MN, Judy Griffin (Jon) of Plainwell and Bill Schultz (Deb) of Greenwood, MN; seven grandchildren, Alyson and Grace Beveridge, Colleen, Sean and Liam Griffin, and Will and Maddie Schultz; and dear family member, Susan Wilber of Erie, PA. Preceding her in death were her parents and brother, Robert Smith.
