Sandra Kaye Hill, age 79, of Lafayette and formerly of Dallas, Texas for thirty years, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at I.U. University Hospital. She was born August 20, 1942, in Indianapolis to the late William Raymond and Elwanda (Grant) Barnett.
After graduating from Broad Ripple High School, Sandy attended Business College. She moved to Lafayette where she worked as an Office Manager for a law firm and later a real estate company. She was an avid sports fan and spent much of her time away from work at the ball fields cheering for her sons as they attended Wainwright and McCutcheon. In 1988, Sandy moved to Dallas, TX, where she joined her brother’s business and later the insurance business; she went on to retire from State Farm Insurance.
Survivors include her sons, Michael R. (Stacey Foster) Hill and Anthony W. (Angela) Hill; siblings, Ronald Raymond (Jodee) Barnett, Debra Sue Foley and Terry Lynn (Scott) Reuter; grandchildren, Jordan (Molly) Hill, Zachary (Brenna) Hill, Paige (Jake) Bledsoe, Katlin (Derek) Marin and Gabrielle (Coty Padilla) Hill; great-grandchildren, Nellie, Harrison, Matilda, Micah, Nora, Stevie, Irving and Archer. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and son, James Hill, Jr.
