Sandra J. Scott, 56, of Emlenton, formerly of Franklin, died at 12:35 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2009, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca, following a short battle with cancer.
Mrs. Scott was born on May 11, 1953 in Oil City. She was the daughter of Andrew P. and Barbara J. Brown Britt. She was a 1971 graduate of Oil City High School. Sandie was a long time dedicated employee of Polk Center. She had been employed there for more than thirty-one years as an R.S.A. She was a member of Rankin Chapel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed knitting and crafting. She was married on May 6, 1986 to Hugh R. “Rick” Scott Jr. He survives.
Also surviving is a daughter, Danielle Lanza of Washington, Pa., a son, Aaron Evers of Rochester, New York, two step-daughters, Marianne Riley of Jefferson Hills, PA and Miranda Scott of Emlenton, a granddaughter, Allison Evers of Chicago, IL, two grandsons, Logan J. Riley of Jefferson Hills and Corbin Scott of Emlenton, a brother, Andrew P. Britt Jr. of Rouseville, her in-laws, Hugh and Jean Scott of Emlenton, a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, good friends, co-workers, and many residents at Polk Center, for whom she cared a great deal.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
