Sandra Elanore Valdez Esquivel, 64, passed away December 9, 2021. She was born June 22, 1957, in Lumberton, New Mexico to Jose Frutoso Valdez and Lugarda Herrera. Sandra married Ervey Esquivel on Feb. 25, 1973, in Riverdale Utah.

Sandra was a member of the Catholic faith and attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

She was an amazing, loving, caring mother.  She had so much love to give.  She was very selfless and put everyone else before herself, no matter what she made sure her family was well taken care of.  Sandra loved spending time with family, she loved having family BBQ’s for two reasons;  because her family was around and because she loved stake and ribs.  She was an amazing cook, everyone in her family loved her cooking, especially her husband, whom she loved more than anything in this world for many reasons; she loved taking Sunday drives with him, she loved the view in the canyon especially in the fall when all the leaves where changing colors, she loved going camping with her husband so she could get away and relax, to enjoy nature.  Sandra loved taking family vacations all though she made everyone drive because she was terrified of planes.  She loved her Sunday bingo trips especially when her kids tagged along.  She was a great friend and an even better mother and the most wonderful wife anyone could ask for.

Sandra is survived by her husband Ervey; children; Leo (Julee) Esquivel, Ofelia Esquivel-Martinez (Emilio), Kazandra Esquivel, Christina Esquivel, Ervey Esquivel Jr,  20 grandchildren with a grandson on they way, and 21 great-grandchildren. Also survived by her 9 siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 siblings.

Special thanks to Parker Venable and Non Typical Excavation for their generosity and to the staff at McKay Dee Hospital for all their loving care.
