Samuel Montagano Reverend Samuel Montagano, 87, a lifelong resident of Burlington, departed this earthly home for his heavenly home on February 7, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. Reverend Montagano was the long time pastor of the First Christian Assembly (formerly Chiesa Christiana Pentecostale Italiana) in Burlington and more recently the Full Gospel Fellowship Church. He was also the interim pastor of First Christian Assembly, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for 4 years in the early 1990’s. Born November 11, 1924, Samuel was proud of his service in the United States armed services as a paratrooper in the famed 82nd Airborne division during World War II. He also worked for many years as an ironworker, having erected steel for many of the Delaware River Port Authority bridges.

A devoted family man, he will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 61 years, Santina (Sara LoSchiavo), children and spouses, Timothy (and Carol Hubbs) Montagano, Terry (and Russell) Langford and Rochelle (and Steven) Murtaugh; grandchildren, Louis Giano, Lorie (and Rolf Strobel), Lisa (and Bill Allen), Wendy Giano, Benjamin Langford, Nathan Langford, Gabrielle (and Rob Broughton), Aaron Murtaugh, Victoria Murtaugh, and great-grand children, Amanda Campor, Eric Strobel, Emily Strobel, Billy Allen and soon to be born baby girl Broughton. He will also be greatly missed by siblings Angelo Montagano, Josephine (and James) DiCioccio, Anna Cardelucci, Robert (and Elinor) Montagano and Raymond Montagano; in-laws Mary and Robert Pandolfi, Celestino and Rose LoSchiavo, Rose Tuminaro and literally hundreds of family members and friends whose lives have been touched by his passion for life, eternal life, and telling people about his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

His relationship with Jesus Christ and his family mattered the most to him until his last breath. Samuel was preceded in death by his parents, Luigi and Nicoletta Montagano, and siblings, John, Teresa, James, Elizabeth, Michael, Louis, Emily and Daniel.
