Samuel Lassiter, 66, of Middletown, husband of Joyce (Slade) Lassiter, passed away on October 9th at Water’s Edge Center. Born in North Carolina, he was the son of the late Hermin and Minnie Lassiter. Samuel has lived in Middletown since an early age. He was a very hard working man who never missed a day of work. He worked at a car wash, Wilcox Forge Company, and for Rossi Lumber for twenty years before retiring. For the last seven years, he has been fighting a long battle with cancer and parkinson’s disease. He went through so much but not once did he complain about being sick. Besides his wife, he is survived by four children, Johnnie Lassiter, and Samuel Lassiter of CT, Sylvia Lassiter of VA and Michelle Lassiter Stevens (William) of GA; six sisters, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
