Samuel D. Patterson, 73, of Lafayette, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. He was born May 23, 1949, in Lafayette to the late Floyd and Cassie (Bratton) Patterson. Sam was a retiree of GTE/Verizon. He was an avid Purdue fan and member of the John Purdue Club. Sam enjoyed bicycle riding, fishing and spending time with his family. Surviving are his children Samuel D. (Yuki) Patterson, II, Adam W. (Dana) Patterson all of Davidson, NC, Jessica L. Patterson of Lafayette, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his sisters Donna Patterson and Ann (Richard) Morehouse and his longtime companion Dianna Buntin. Sam was preceded in death by brothers Freddie and Jeff Patterson.
