A native of Bay Minette, AL, he was a retired salesman and a member of the Methodist faith. Sam was a Shriner and was active in Civic Organizations in Fairhope, AL. He was a member of the Rotary International and the Lions Club. Sam was also a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Pipkin and Mamie Thompson Pipkin, and 2 brothers, Henry and Robert Pipkin, and 1 sister, Gracie. Survivors include his sons, Henry Hill and Stevan K. Hill, 2 grandsons, Scott Hill and wife Karen, and Jason Hill, and 1 great granddaughter, Monica Anne Hill, his Sister, Mamie Lou Hughes,.
