Samuel Arenas, 28, of Lafayette died Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at his home.
He was born in Mexico City, Mexico on May 27, 1989 to Jorge Arenas and the late Margarita Gonzales. He attended Lafayette Jefferson High School and completed his GED. He was married to the love of his life Nancy Onofre Arenas on February 11, 2008 in Lafayette, she survives.
Samuel enjoyed hiking, listening to music, playing basketball and video games, and riding his bicycle. He was a fun dad and was full of kindness and had a huge heart. He was a friend to everyone he met.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; 2 sons, Miguel and Carlos Arenas, his father, Jorge Arenas; 3 brothers, David (Maria) Arenas, Mario (Misty) Arenas, Anthony Melendez; 2 sisters, Isabel (Roman) Arenas, Araceli (Juan) Arenas; his In-Laws, Zeferino and Ancelma Onofre.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margarita Gonzales and a niece, Bella Velaquez.
