Sammie E. Hosch, 73, of Temple died Sunday, January 16, 2022, at a Temple hospital.

Sammie was born April 1, 1948, in Belton, Texas,  to Frank J. and Rena (Powell) Hosch. He married Janice Welch on November 15, 1969, in Belton, Texas. He served in the United States Army. Sammie was a humble servant to his Lord Jesus Christ. He also was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

His greatest joy of all is being with his precious grandchildren. He retired from Wilsonart after 32 years and worked for Belton ISD Transportation for another 18 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fixing and inventing things. When not doing that, he enjoyed RVing with his wife and traveling to see his daughter and grandchildren wherever they may be in the USA. Sammie and his son, Aaron, enjoyed going to car shows and hanging out.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Hosch; a son, Aaron Hosch; a daughter, Shellee Winkler and husband, Matt A.; three brothers, Roy, Rickey, and Garry Hosch, and four grandchildren: Averee, Amaree, Jensen, and Hendrix Winkler. Chosen with love; Dori-Ann Byers, Melissa Messer, Tanner Messer and Blake Ingram.
