Salvatore Basile, 54, of Northampton, passed away suddenly on Wednesday July 13, 2022 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He was the beloved husband of Anna (Palladino) Basile with whom he shared over 28 years of marriage. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of Nino and Nina (Leone) Basile of Bethlehem. Sal was raised in Staten Island, NY before eventually moving to Bethlehem. He was the owner of Sal’s Brick Oven Pizza in South Bethlehem since 2001. Previously, he worked for many years with his family at Pane’e Vino in Bethlehem. Sal enjoyed cars, dogs, birds, playing cards, traveling to Florida and was an avid New York Giants fan. He was also artistic and enjoyed drawing and listening to freestyle music. Most of all Sal loved his family. He would do anything for his daughters and his nieces and nephews.
Survivors: In addition to his loving wife Anna and parents Nino and Nina, he will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Nina and Joanna of Northampton; sister Maria Salamoni and her husband Greg of Easton; brother Vincent Basile and his wife Kelly of Estero, FL; loving nieces and nephews and many friends. He is also survived by his canine companions Snookie, Gotti and Fendi.
