Sally Mae Fort (Nee: Shuler) of Burlington Township passed away on Wednesday at the age 85. She was born in Shulerville, Berkeley County, South Carolina and moved to New Jersey. She went to school at Burlington County College and obtained a degree in nursing. She then went on to a career of over 20 years at Virtua Memorial in Mt. Holly.
She worked in the NICU and the Neonatal ward, where she treasured her days. She was a huge fan of both Elvis and the Oakridge Boys, enjoyed gardening, quilting and watching hummingbirds. Wife of 49 years to the late George B. Fort she is survived by their children: Richard S. (Sue) Fort, George Martin Fort, Berkeley Hugh Fort (Judy); granddaughters: Megan (Jimmy), Ashley (Stephen); great-grandchildren: Mackenzie, Addison, Evan.
