Sally Habets, 84, Great Falls, passed away on July 29, 2014 at a local care facility from natural causes.

Sally was born on July 4, 1930 in Conrad to parents William Mainard and Anna Fredrickson. She spent her childhood growing up in Conrad as well as attending school. In the years to come she met the love of her life Leo Habets and were later married on May 5th, 1947. This union brought 8 wonderful children which they loved very much.

Sally worked on the farm doing everything from gardening and raising chickens, to baling hay out in the fields. She also worked as a private house cleaner and later in life was the head house keeper at Super 8 Motel in Conrad.

Sally loved quilting, painting, puzzle books, and ceramics. She passed her remaining spare time playing cards with family and friends. She had a knack for gardening and canning her own food. Her family would be the first to tell you that she had a passion for cooking, and at the age of 83 was still out delivering home cooked meals to the crew out in the field. Anyone who knew her could attest to her wonderful homemade bread and cinnamon rolls.

Sally is survived by her Husband of 67 years Leo Habets; sons Jerry Habets, Rod(Lisa) Habets both of Conrad, Bob Habets of Valier; daughters Susan Brandt of Great Falls, Judy(Jim) Aakre of Conrad, Cindy Sanders of Joplin; sister Ethel Hagen of North Dakota; 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grand children, and 5 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son Greg; daughter Peggy; brothers Buster, George, and Bernal; sisters Helen, Edith, and Betty; grandsons Jaime, Joshua and Mathew.
