Sallie E. Cottrill, 85, of Lumberport, passed away Monday, December 2, 2013 following an extended illness, at the home of her daughter Rebecca. She was born October 1, 1928, the daughter of the late Goff Nathan Leggett and Mary Elizabeth Jones Leggett. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William C. Cottrill, Sr. She is survived by one son; William C. Cottrill, Jr. of Lumberport; four daughters; Pamela Snyder and husband Troy of Shinnston, Mary Ann Jones and husband Harold of Wallace, Elizabeth Stout of Cambria and Rebecca Long and husband Ben of Lumberport; one brother; Blaine Leggett of Ohio; one sister; Shirley Ross of Melbourne, Ohio; one daughter-in-law; Patty Cottrill; one son-in-law; Butch Moore; 24 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 7 step great grandchildren; one great-great grandson and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son; Ronnie D. Cottrill; one daughter Peggy Moore; two brothers; Nathan Leggett, Jr. and Carson Leggett; four sisters; Audra Hart, Velma McCune, Doshie Leggett and Tootsie Owens; one daughter-in-law; Mary Cottrill; one son-in-law; Randy Stout; and two great grandchildren. Sallie was a housewife and a member of the House of Faith in Erie.
