Sadie Moore Jones, age 80, an eleven year resident of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, formerly of Chesapeake, VA, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 23, 2006.
Sadie was born on October 12, 1926 in Norfolk, VA, to the late James Moore and the late Sadie Clayton Moore. She was proud to be a veteran of the US Army, where she met and married the love of her life. Sadie was a diligent and dedicated worker for AAFES and an active member of Hurlburt Field Chapel. She enjoyed teaching and learning from all children. She cherished her family and valued her friends; she was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.
Sadie is survived by her daughters, Terry Lucas and her husband Henry of Chesapeake, VA, and Tracy Jones of Fort Walton Beach, FL; son, Eugene Jones, Jr. and his wife Pamela of Chesapeake, VA; sister, Doris Davis of Killeen, TX; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Eugene Jones; parents; and two sisters.
