Winsted: Ryan J. Bartholomew, 29, of Reaching Hill Road, died Saturday, October 31, 2009 from injuries sustained as the result of a car accident. Born in Torrington, July 17, 1980, he was the son of James Bartholomew of Winsted, Linda (Godenzi) Bartholomew and Rick Greenbaum of Barkhamsted. Prior to his accident, he had been an auto mechanic all of his working career. He was a graduate of The Gilbert School, class of 1999 and the Porter and Chester Institute, class of 2002. Ryan loved snowboarding, snowmobiling, quads, dirt bikes, go carts, RC cars, Jeeps, VWs, and Dodge trucks. His family and friends were #1 in his life and he was a great influence and role model in the lives of his nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandfather, James Bartholomew of Litchfield; his girlfriend, Jennifer Sekulski of Winsted; two sisters, Dawn Bernier of Torrington and Michelle Kehaya and her husband Dave of Colebrook; 4 nieces and nephews, Conor Bartholomew, Kyle Bernier, Elise and Lily Kehaya; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves his kitty, Pheobee.
