Ryan Aleia Gibby,  affectionately known as ” Pretty Girl ” or ” Mom-mie” to family and friends, returned home to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday , April 8, 2022 at Jackson Medical Center in Jackson, AL. She was born August 31, 2019 to Shakarra Cox and Henry O’Neal Gibby Jr.
Along with her brother, Jordan , and sister, Braelyn , Ryan attended Early Head Start in Jackson, AL where she was taught and loved dearly by Mrs. Delania Laster and Mrs. Shanta Mc Clain, her first and only teachers. She enjoyed spending time with and loving on her family and friends , playing outside, and helping anyone she could. As well as watching and singing along to Cocomelon multiple times a day and talking until she couldn’t talk anymore.
At only 2 years old, Ryan was a very advanced little girl. She could fluently count from 1 – 10 by the time she turned 2. She could identify her colors and some numbers, read a book by looking at the pictures, and so much more. Aside from being sweet and overly caring, Ryan was also very feisty and had an out this world attitude .
She’s preceded in death by her maternal great- grandmother, Minnie Williams, maternal great- grandfather, James Cox; paternal great grandfathers, Henry Gibby and Alonzo Jackson; paternal great grandmother, Mary Jackson; paternal uncle, Quintin O’ Neal Phillips.
Ryan leaves to cherish her many memories: her mother, Shakarra Cox ; father, Henry O’ Neal Gibby Jr. ; her loving grandparents, Sheretta ( Michael ) Cox, Sarah and Henry O. Gibby Sr. , Robert ( Alicia ) Williams;  great grandmothers Henrietta Cox, Hattie Bell Gibby ; great grandfather , Jefferson Williams ; five wonderful siblings; two brothers, Jordan Agee and Weston Ivory; three sisters, Hailee Gibby, Karlise Gibby, and Braelyn Sims; five aunts, Nicole Gibby, Alecia (Chris ) Knight , La Shunda Gibby, Priscilla Cox, and Talisa Cox ; one devoted uncle, Demetrice Williams; three devoted big cousins, Tykeedra ” Ky Ky” Sims, Jakayla ” Woodie” Frowner, and Kenya ” Ke Ke” Frowner; godparents, Montiara Cox and Jamarious Gilmore; and a host of other great aunts, great uncles, cousins , and friends who loved her dearly.
