Ruthmary “Ruth” Vollstedt, 82, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born October 26, 1928, in Union, Mich., to the late Floyd and Bertha (Bellows) Rentfrow. She married Gustav E. “Gus” Vollstedt Jr. on Oct. 14, 1955. He passed away March 3, 2006.
Surviving are daughter Aloa Carlisle of Elkhart; son Lyle (Nita) Vollstedt of Granger; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister Mildred Lloyd of Nevada, Texas.
She was preceded in death by brothers Everett, Robert, William, Raymond, Dale, Ronald and Lyle Rentfrow; and sisters Vera Weybright and Doris Rentfrow.
Ruth was a homemaker and formerly worked at Adams and Westlake. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Ruth enjoyed family gatherings, word search and jigsaw puzzles.
