Ruth La Von Roberts, 86, of Galien, Michigan, passed away Monday, May 3, 2010 at Kelli’s Cozy Care, Galien, surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born January 6, 1924 in New Carlisle, Indiana to Eston and Maude (Brewer) Moffitt. Ruth resided in New Carlisle until her marriage to Maurice D. Roberts on April 28, 1944. Maurice preceded Ruth in death on October 13, 1986.
Ruth retired from the Galien Township Public Library in 1985 following 25 years of service.
Survivors include her sons, Mike (Peggy) Roberts, Dwight (Linda) Roberts, and David (Tanya) Roberts all of Galien; daughters Laurie Iden of Kalamazoo and Melinda (Ben Tym) Roberts of Bridgman; grandchildren Matthew, T.J., Cariad, Kalei, Craig, Laurie, Kyle, MacKenzie, Christopher, Melaina, Ryon, Morgan, Kristina, Victoria and Stefan; great-grandchildren A.J., Arianna, Brody, Delaynie, Shaunna, Jevin, Savannah, Justin, Brianna, Ryan, and Kyin; sister Delores Harms of Wichita, Kansas and brother James Moffitt of LaPorte, Indiana.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, grandson Jason and great grandson Brady.
