In 1969 they moved to Newnan, Georgia, where they lived together for 43 years until the passing of her beloved husband Bob in 2012. The progression of Alzheimer’s required Ruth move to a memory care facility in Cumming, Georgia, in 2016 to be near her son David and his family. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Robert (deceased 2012), son Gregory Robert Lee (deceased 2017) and son John (deceased 1963). She is survived by her middle son David Rakes Lee and his wife Ellen. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Amanda Ostrosky (Jared) and Christopher Lee; two great grandchildren, Ella Kate, and Elliott Ostrosky; and many other relatives. Ruth was an avid traveler, bridge player, and Alabama Football fanatic. She passed on her love of travel and teaching to all her children and grandchildren. She was an active member of the First Methodist Church of Newnan until she moved away. She was a model of kindness to all her friends and co-workers and was always immensely proud of her family. To all who were fortunate to have known her, she leaves behind dear memories.
