Ruth (Norton) Olson, 86, of Cromwell, CT and a former 50 year resident of Lexington, MA, wife of the late Edward M. Olson, passed away on Thursday, June 4th at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, CT. Born in Worcester, MA, she was the daughter of the late Edwin F. and Mabelle (Alden) Norton.
Ruth was trained as a commercial artist at Boston University, graduating in 1945, and worked as a technical artist with Lincoln Laboratories in Lexington. She also volunteered in many arts and crafts related activities for school-aged children in Lexington through the 1950s and 1960s. She was an avid painter and enjoyed all types of crafts. She loved cocker spaniels.
