Ruth Myrtle Stratford Knight
Ogden – Ruth Myrtle Stratford Knight passed away December 30, 2013. She was born April 11, 1926 in Ogden the daughter of Virgil Gladman and Selina Maude McArthur Stratford. She attended Ogden City Schools and graduated from Ogden High School. She married Waldron John Knight Jr. in the Salt Lake Temple on June 12, 1945.
As a member of the LDS Church she served as Jr. Sunday School Coordinator, Stake Junior Sunday School Coordinator, Primary President and in various other church callings.
Ruth loved to sew, grow roses and read. She enjoyed the company of her family and life in general. She particularly enjoyed a clean house.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 68 years, John; her 4 children, Diane Weir (Tom), David Knight (Betty), Jeanne Lott (Dave) and Timothy Knight (Sheryl); 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Also survived by 2 sisters and a brother, Betty Naylor, Virgil Stratford and Georgia Goodell.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a special cousin, Elizabeth Mikesell.
