Ruth Martin, 82, Greenwood passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012. She was born June 17, 1930 in Morgan County, IN to the late Claud and Sally Atwood Bell. Ruth married LaMoyne Martin on March 11, 1950, who preceded her in death on March 15, 1988.
Her survivors include a daughter LaTona (Kirk) Prentice, Greenwood; grandsons, Ryan and Chad Prentice; sister Velma Reynolds, Mooresville and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Pauline Scott, Bersha Pauley and Minnie Trusty; brothers, Ray, Tommy, Otto, Eddie, Vitus, Herbert and J.D. Bell.
Ruth was a 1949 graduate of Center Grove High School and was employed several years at Vernon Insurance, retiring in 1992. She was an avid golfer and bowler, and spent many happy times playing cards with her friends.
