COLCHESTER – Ruth (Pineo) Forget, 77, beloved wife of Roland for nearly 60 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at home on Monday (Sept. 26, 2016). Born February 7, 1939 in Attleboro, MA, she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Margaret (Innes) Pineo. Ruth and Roland were married on October 27, 1956 in Attleboro where they started their family before moving to Montville. Mrs. Forget had worked at Constantine’s Restaurant in Niantic for many years in many capacities. She had also worked for a time as a floral designer at Plant Works in Niantic. She and Roland retired to Florida for nearly 10 years before returning to Connecticut, settling in Colchester four year ago. Ruth enjoyed arts and crafts, especially cross stitching, as well as gardening. She had also been a talented bowler and took up golf after moving to Florida.
