Ruth M. Darling Age 89 of Ovid went to be reunited with her husband in heaven on Friday, February 17, 2017 at the Hospice House of Shiawassee County.Funeral services will be held 2pm Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Nelson-House Funeral Home with Pastor John Miller officiating. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 5pm to 8pm and Sunday from 12noon until the time of service.Ruth was born July 23, 1927 in Belding, the daughter of Julius and Goldy May (Fockler) Poullion.She married Jack Erwin Darling in Ovid on December 2, 1943.Ruth worked at Universal Electric but spent most of her life working on the family farm and taking care of her family.Ruth is survived by her children Dale W. Darling and Deborah (Harley) Wiseley; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several niece and nephews and many other loving family and friends.She was predeceased by her husband; her daughter Ruth Ann Anderson and her parents.Memorial contributions are suggested to hospice.Online condolences may be sent to the family at Nelson-House.com.
