Ruth M. Bealer, 81, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, June 30, 2014. She was the wife of the late William H. Bealer, Sr. who died in 1994. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Erwin and Ruth (Jacobs) Bartholomew. A graduate of Liberty High School, she and her husband were avid fans of the LHS and Penn State sports teams. She worked for many years as a unit clerk at Muhlenberg Hospital, and later in the offices of the Piercing Pagoda. Her family was the most important thing to her, and she had an unwavering love and support for her family. Ruth was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Survivors: son William H. Bealer, Jr. and his wife Donna of Bethlehem; daughters Christine Wald and her husband Russ of Bethlehem, Gail Bealer of Bethlehem; grandchildren William H. Bealer, III, and his wife Stacey, Carissa Bealer, Bryan Wald; great-grandson Michael; many nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
