Ruth Leone Hawks, age 86 of Ashland, OH., passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at her residence. On February 22, 1925 in Ashland Co., Mrs. Hawks was born to the late Lloyd E. and Edna V. (Maffett) Lowe. She had been a resident and homemaker in Ashland all of her life. Mrs. Hawks attended the Calvary Baptist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Hawks are two sons: Larry Hawks of Milford, OH. and Dennis A.(Karen) Hawks of Ashland; one daughter, Melinda Hines of Ashland; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Hawks was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Ralph Lowe; two sisters: Lois Fox and Margaret Nadason; and her son-in-law, Mark Hines.
