Ruth Janet Bargeron, 77, of Lakeland, passed away on Aug. 2, 2015.
Jan resided in Lakeland her entire life.
While both working at GTE Telephone Company, Jan met and married Robert Bernard Bargeron, Jr. of Twin City, GA. Jan and Bernie shared a beautiful marriage of 24 years until Bernie passed in 1985. Jan was passionate about horses. She rode in parades and barrel raced in rodeos. She owned and loved horses from the time she was six years old.
A small town girl at heart but she had a huge adventurous spirit. She made many trips with her flight attendant daughter and mother. Jan climbed Pacaya Volcano, Guatemala, and Machu Picchu, Peru. She traveled with St.
Jan was a homemaker and caretaker of many. Her biggest passion was her family and friends. She was preceded by her mother Henrietta Lester, father Daniel G .Lester, and spouse Bernie Bargeron. She is survived by her two children Les and Janice Bargeron of Lakeland, daughter-in-law Lori, grandsons Robby and Brendan Bargeron, and brother Dan Lester, Jr. of Osprey, FL.
