Ruth Esther (Hopper) Loebach, 95, of Peru, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Manor Court in Peru.
Mrs. Loebach was born on December 17, 1920 in Streator to James and Esther (Shawback) Hopper. She married Raymond Henry Loebach on August 8, 1942 in Camp Forest, TN. Ruth graduated from the Lansing Beauty School in Lansing, MI. Ruth was a homemaker, and worked for the NewsTrib in LaSalle and Glorias Children Shop. She was a member of St. Josephs Church in Peru.
Ruth enjoyed fishing, painting, crocheting, art and crafts and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her children, Lawrence (Eloise) Loebach of Madison, WI, Thomas (Rosemary) Loebach of Dewey, AZ and Ann Cilla of Peru; 4 grandchildren, Sandra (Rick) Olshak, Danielle (Calvin) Kalscheuer, Joshua Loebach and Jeremy (Grace) Loebach; 5 great-grandchildren, Devon Rodlund, Hannah Rodlund, Mason Kalscheuer, Reid Kalscheuer and Gabriel Loebach; 2 step-grandchildren, Michael (Lindsay) Jeanette and Elizabeth Jeanette; and 5 step great-grandchildren, Lauren Barton and Colton Barton, Sydney Olshak, Jadah Olshak and Sean Olshak.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one granddaughter, Julie Ann Loebach; two brothers, Cloyce Hopper and Eugene Hopper; and three sisters, her twin sister, Ruby Thorson, Evelyn Voigts and LaRue Turner.
Pallbearers will be Dan Obermiller, Steve Arkels, Jim McKinney, Randy Turner, Donna Mueller and Kelly Versluis.
