Born in Carrier Mills, IL on August 10, 1929, to Mamie and James Holmes, Ruth was the eighth of ten children. Ruth was living in Dayton, Ohio in 1948, when she met and married John Dreisacker of Yonkers, NY.
They settled in Thornwood, NY, where Ruth, a kind and loving mother, raised her five children: Herbert John (pre-deceased), Ellen Ruth, Susan Margaret, Nancy Ann, and James Wiseman. Along with four of her children, Ruth is survived by a brother, Roy Holmes, a sister Paulma Clark, 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
