Ruth Dean Wise, age 82, of Alpena, AR went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 17, 2010. Her family was by her side when she entered eternal life at Hillcrest Home in Harrison. Ruth thought of all the caring staff at Hillcrest as her extended family. She was born on August 31, 1927 in Green Forest, AR to the late William R. Swor and Pat Collier Swor. On February 11, 1944 she was united in marriage to Rex Wise. They resided in Carroll County for over 60 years. After high school Ruth graduated from Springfield Business College and became Green Forest Schools first secretary. Later she was employed at Oberman (Levi) garment factory, in Harrison. Ruth was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her faith was of up-most importance. She was a member of Bellfonte Apostolic Church. Over the years she played the organ, the piano, taught Sunday School, and served in all areas needed. She was talented in the areas of cooking, sewing, writing and music abilities. She wrote an article in the Carroll County Newspaper (Here-n-Yonder) for many years. Ruth loved life and lived it to its fullest. With her charismatic personality she never met a stranger. Her favorite pass-time in later years was traveling. Her brilliant mind, her big smile and her wit will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband Rex Wise, of the home, daughter Betty Cicero and husband Anthony, of Chicopee, MA, sons, James Wise and wife Betty, of Marietta, GA, David Wise and wife Danna, of Alpena, grandchildren, Darren Wise, Michael Cicero, Jon Wise, Danette Winters, Jeff Wise, Jennifer Doblado, Shara Rubio and 9 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her sister Lois Jean Campbell.
