Ruth Davies, 93, of Anderson, passed away, November 29, 2015 at Rawlins House in Pendleton. She was born, April 2, 1922 in Hancock County, Indiana and resided most of her life in Anderson. Ruth graduated from Pendleton High School class of 1940. She owned and operated Davies Pools for over 30 years. She was a member of Central Christian Church, and also consulted with Pastor Bill Goodrich at Horizon Christian Fellowship in Indianapolis. She enjoyed gardening, collecting antiques, walking in the mall, ballroom dancing and telling jokes. She was also a Girl Scout leader for several years. Ruth is survived by her children, Paula (Kip) Grant of Florida, Linda (Jim) Sanders of Indianapolis, brother, Charles (Phyllis) Manifold of Anderson, grandchildren, Laura Ghoulame, Christopher Copeland, Rick Sanders, Daniel Sanders, Melissa Sanders, and James Sanders, 8 Great-Grandchildren, and a special niece, Joanne Miller. Ruth was also survived by several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Davies, father, Horace Manifold, mother, Lillie Manifold, 2 brothers, Russell and John Manifold, and a sister Alice Cox.
