Ruth Ann Mackowiak , beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, cousin, and friend was called home on November 6, 2021 at the age of 85.
Ruth was born October 18, 1936 in Dunkirk, NY as the only child to Louis Michael and Euginia Virginia Mackowiak. She is preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Kamber A. Malta. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, John C. and Kristy Malta of Moorpark, CA., Michael H. and Barbara Malta of Colorado Springs, CO., and Christopher A. Malta of West Hollywood, CA.; as well as her three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and cousins.
One of her favorite careers was as a seamstress in which she retired. In retirement, Ruth spent years volunteering at the Fredonia Care & Share Senior Center where she even received an Elder Salute Award presented by the Kiwanis Club of Northern Chautauqua. She loved cooking, bingo, sewing, crocheting, spending time with family and friends, and her cat, Prissy.
Her family and friends are deeply saddened by her sudden death. Ruth will be missed in so many ways.
