Ruth Ann Carter, 71 of Centralia, passed away Monday, February 9, 2015, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born May 9, 1943, in Centralia, the daughter of John Bone and Eunice Marie (Myers) Bone.
She was with her companion, Ted Ferrell for many years and he preceded her in death in 2004.
She is survived by four children: Bobby Hemann and wife Tammy of Arizona, Rhonda Bell and husband William of Arizona, Michael Carter of Centralia, and Michelle Hawkins and husband Dearl of Sandoval; 11 grandchildren; Cranden, Clayton, Cierra, Chantel, Mackenzie, Tiffany, Taylor, and fiancé Blake, Destrian, Coleton, Brandilyn, and Morgan; 1 great-grandson, Skylar and one on the way; seven siblings: Barbara Cody of Wamac, Charles Bone and wife Sue of Centralia, John Bone of Centralia, Robert Bone and wife Tyonia of Junction City, Judy Irvin and husband Dave Sandoval, Debbie Boyce and husband Jim of Centralia, and Bill Bone and wife Pam of Springfield; several nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Jones of Junction City; special friend, Herbie Kirgan of Centralia.
She is preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, and a sister: Shirley Jones.
Ruth Ann enjoyed planting flowers, gardening, camping, and fishing. She was a member of the Lady of the Moose. She worked at Meridian for 20 years and she retired in 2003. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
