Ruth A. McBride, age 84 of Ashland, OH., passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at Med-Central Hospital in Mansfield. On April 11, 1925 in Cleveland, OH., Mrs. McBride was born to the late William and Cora (Johnson) Pyles. She had been a resident of the Mifflin and Nova areas most of her life and enjoyed reading. Mrs. McBride retired in 1980 as a registered nurse at Mansfield General Hospital.
On August 30, 1947, Mrs. McBride married Ralph McBride who survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Ann E.(Henry) VanBuren of Mansfield, Sally (Kevin) Wamsley of Bluffton, S.C.; 4 sons and daughters-in-law: David (Polly) McBride of Ashland, Roger (Barb) McBride of Powell, OH., Larry (Cathy) McBride of Ashland, and Daniel (Michelle) McBride of Hayesville, OH.; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Mrs. McBride was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Maxine Dumond, a brother, William “Bud” Pyles, and a grandson.
