Russell William Ward, 89, of Indianapolis passed away on June 27, 2017. He was born on April 27, 1928 in Indianapolis, Indiana to James O. and Lettie Ward. He married Shirley Matthews on June 16, 1949. Russ was an Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He was employed as a printer at Triangle Printing Company for 45 years, retiring in 1993.
Russell is survived by his wife Shirley Ward; children Lisa Fultz (Chris), Andrew Ward (Pam); grandchildren Collin Fultz (Jennifer), Matthew Fultz (Melody), Corey Ward (Amy), Kelli Fultz, Rebecca Ward, and Ryan Ward; 4 great-grand children; sister-in-law Glorine Ward; brother-in-law Larry Combs; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in passing by his parents James O. and Lettie Ward and his siblings James E. Ward, Gladys Shull, Mary Bell, Helen Hayes, and Nancy Combs.
