Russell W. Berg, 93, of S. Ironwood Drive, St. Paul’s Retirement Community in South Bend, Indiana, passed away Monday, November 7, 2005, at Memorial Hospital of South Bend, Indiana. Mr. Berg was born November 27, 1911 in South Bend. He retired form the U.S. Postal Service. His parents a sister and his first wife, Amelia Varga preceded him in death.
On July 15, 1980, Russell married Martha G. (Borkowski) Oshinski, who preceded him in death on May 1, 2004.
Surviving are his step children, Ralph (Joan) Oshinski of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Joyce (Sandy) Catalino of Cassopolis, Michigan, Timothy (Shirley) Oshinski of South Bend; 13 step grandchildren; and 25 step great grandchildren.
Mr. Berg was a WWII Navy veteran, an avid golfer, and will be truly missed.
