Russell O. Habel, 72, of Three Oaks, Michigan died Sunday, May 13, 2007 at St. Anthony Hospital, Michigan City, Indiana with his family by his side.
Russell was born March 3, 1935 in Three Oaks, Michigan to Arthur and Lena (Stanage) Habel and graduated from Three Oaks High School in 1953.
He was employed by Clark Equipment Company in Buchanan. After retirement, Russell enjoyed doing yardwork and being outdoors. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in New Buffalo. Russell loved to fish and spend time with his dog Scooter.
Survivors include his brother, Dale (Lorraine) Habel of Lebanon, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, William, Clarence, Donald, Leland, Larry and Lee.
