Russell F. Huther, Jr.

He was born November 7, 1968, in the Town of New Hartford, the son of Russell F. Sr. and Roseanna DeBlois Huther, and graduated from Utica Free Academy. Russell was united in marriage to the former Joann Coleman, on July 22, 2000, in Historic Old St. John’s Church in Utica. He was employed as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Utica. Russell proudly served and retired from the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Church of the Annunciation in Clark Mills, Parkhurst Post 1448, American Legion in Oriskany, Stanwix Veterans and Men’s Club, New Hartford Elk’s Club, and the Vice President of the National Association of Letter Carriers #375.

Russell was an active outdoor sportsman who loved duck hunting and fishing. He was a true and avid fan of Syracuse University sports. He was a fantastic, loving and caring husband, father and friend who, was loved by everyone who had the good fortune and privilege of knowing him. Russell will be greatly missed.

Russell is survived by his loving wife, Joann; Children, Taylor Lyn, Eddrie and Charles; parents, Russell F. Sr., and Roseanna Huther; sister and brother in law, Catherine and John Cashel of Canastota; father in law and mother in law, Francis and Carole Coleman of Sylvan Beach; grandmother, Anna DeBlois of Canastota; sisters and brothers, including a special brother in law and sister in law, Cole and Cindy Coleman of Massena; and a special friend, Albert Mieskel.
